Each cheese listing presents users with visually appealing images, detailed flavor profiles, links to producers' websites, and wine pairing recommendations. The option to customize the library with personal favorites and notes adds a personalized touch to the experience.

The search functionality allows for seamless exploration by name, country of origin, milk type, texture, or user-defined tags.

Whether you are a seasoned chef, professional event organizer, cheese connoisseur, or simply passionate about cheese, Fromage offers a gateway to discover and savor a wide array of historical and exquisite cheese flavors.

Fromage includes features like creating personal cheese notes, rating cheeses on a 1 to 5 scale (including an "Avoid" rating), organizing cheeses into personalized lists (Try, Buy, Favorites), and capturing tasting impressions with up to 70 keywords.

Users can contribute their own cheese entries with photos from their device cameras and easily share cheese information with friends or developers for future updates via email.

The app operates offline, making it suitable for use in remote areas without internet access. For connected devices, Fromage leverages iCloud to synchronize data across Apple devices running on iOS.

The application supports multiple languages such as English, French, Spanish, and German based on the device's language settings.

Hello, I'm Steve Welch, the developer of Fromage. I appreciate your interest in the app and my endeavor to bring diverse cheese varieties into your culinary experiences.

Fromage originated nearly 15 years ago with a modest selection of French cheeses closely following the advent of the iPhone. It quickly gained popularity within the "Food and Drink" category as the pioneering cheese-focused app in the App Store.

I have a background in cheese making from my days at Rogue Valley Creamery in Oregon during the late '70s. This experience crafting artisan Cheddar and Blue cheeses influenced my journey toward developing Fromage on the iPhone platform.
